App privacy for macOS In development

Only you
get in.

App Lock for Mac, with optional face unlocking. Your apps, your relock rules.

Illustrative concept · no camera access
  1. Choose Mail, Notes, or other apps to protect.
  2. Authenticate to return to your private content.
  3. Relock when you leave, after a delay, or manually.
  4. Mac Unlock is a separate, optional setup in development.

A private app
should stay private.

Pick what stays private once. Let your relock rules take it from there.

Choose your apps.

Keep personal notes, messages, and photos behind a separate check. You decide which apps belong on the list.

Choose a sample app

Set your rhythm.

Switch to another app, and the protected app locks again. A simple boundary for quick handovers.

The native prototype uses macOS authentication. Face recognition is being tested; Mac Unlock is a separate future feature.

On your Mac

Local processing. Clear limits.

The face-recognition prototype processes samples on your Mac. Release readiness and spoof resistance still need validation.

Face samples
Processed locally in the prototype
Liveness
Blink and anti-spoof checks are planned
Camera limits
A standard camera does not provide Face ID depth sensing
App Lock

A check before private content.

Choose the apps you want to protect. The native prototype uses Touch ID or your Mac account password without saving that password.

Authentication
Uses the macOS authentication prompt
Relock rules
Configured separately for each app
Protection boundary
A visual privacy layer; it does not encrypt app files

Mac Unlock

Separate setup. Your decision.

Automatic Mac unlocking is an optional feature in development. App Lock works without enabling it or storing your login password.

Setup
Enabled separately from App Lock
Saved password
Required to enter your Mac login password automatically

Not available as a public release

This website is a simulation. Native unlock reliability, spoof resistance, compatibility, and battery use still need testing.

In progress.
Built with care.

The native prototype supports app locking with macOS authentication, per-app relock rules, guided face setup, and a recognition test. Optional Mac unlocking is still in development.

Can I download Onlyward?

Not yet. Onlyward is in early development. This page lets you explore the planned experience; it is not the native application. Follow the GitHub project for updates.

Does this demo actually recognize me?

No. It plays through simulated states. It does not request camera access, recognize faces, save passwords, or protect installed apps.

Does App Lock need my saved Mac password?

The native App Lock prototype uses macOS Touch ID or account-password verification without saving your login password. Any future Mac Unlock feature would require separate, explicit credential setup. It is not available yet.

How will face setup work?

The native prototype guides you through three gentle poses and saves an encrypted face profile on your Mac. A separate recognition test measures similarity and prompted blink motion. Face-based access and resistance to photo or video spoofing are still being evaluated.

What will App Lock protect?

The planned feature covers selected app content until you authenticate. It is a visual privacy layer, not encryption of another app’s files. Native security, compatibility, and battery use still require validation.
